June 12-16 Sheep & Peeps
Don’t be sheepish….Join as we explore the barnyard to learn about our woolly and feathered friends. Farm-based activities include gathering eggs from the coop, visiting the baby chicks, washing wool, and creating a wet felting fiber craft. If hanging out with farm animals is something you like to do, then this session is for ewe!
June 19-23 Jamberry Jamboree
Whether it is picking blueberries in the berry patch, dancing around the mulberry bush, making butter with Betty Botter or baking with the muffin man, our little campers will learn that wholesome goodness can come in small packages. The many hands-on activities in this session are sure to be “berry” sweet!
June 26-30 Alphabet Garden
Join carrot and pea, as they lead us on an adventure to discover and uncover their vegetable friends in the Children’s Garden. Activities will include planting cucumbers and squash, enjoying a meadow tea party and making a carrot craft. This session is sure to be a bunch of fun!
July 10-14 Hare’s Market Stand
Inspired by the story Tops N Bottoms by Janet Stevens, campers will follow the adventures of Hare and Bear as they teach us about the different edible parts of plants. Our craft will be decorating sweet little hares or bears made from towels. Our Friday campers will have the opportunity to assist with the harvesting and washing vegetables for our HCFC Market Stand.
July 17-21 Hogs and Kisses
Campers will be as happy as pigs in mud as they join our boys, Cloud and Patches, for this pig themed session. Activities will include making mud pies by the creek, giving our piggy friends a bath, having a pignic, and making a “we heart pigs” craft. Dirty hands and snouts is what this session is all about.
July 24-28 Tom E. Toes and the Enormous Potato
Join the adventures of Tom E. Toes as he heads to the garden in search of the Enormous Potato. Hands-on activities will include picking ripe tomatoes, digging potatoes, tasting a snack of baked potatoes, and making a potato print craft. Our educational resources for the week will be The Enormous Potato by Aubrey Davis and Too Many Tomatoes by Eric Ode.
July 31-August 4 Gimme Cracked Corn
Little Red Hen needs help this week as she teaches about the life cycle of corn. In this session called “Gimme Cracked Corn and I will Share!” our campers will work together to grind corn, bake a tasty treat, get up close and personal with the Little Red Hen, and make a “corny” craft. From field to fork, there will many occasions for our farm friends to learn to share in the work load.
August 7-11 Little Red House
Join us as explore the farm in search of a little red house with no windows or doors, a green chimney and a star within! In this super dee duper, delicious and nutritious session our campers will visit the apple tree, wash apples, make and taste homemade apple sauce and create an apple craft.
Five day, three day and two day programs
Full day 9 am - 3:30 pm or Half day 9 am - 1 pm
A FEW NOTES ABOUT THE LITTLE SEED PROGRAM:
Campers should be 3 years old at time of session and must be potty trained to attend our Little Seeds program.
In many cases, summer camp is the first time little ones will be away from their parents. Although we accept campers as young as ages 3, it is important that parents evaluate the readiness of their child(ren) to attend before registering for summer camp. We are unable to refund tuition for non-attendance for any reason during the camp session.
Child development is as unique as each individual child. We offer two program options for children ages 5 ½ to 6. For a child that thrives best in a smaller setting with lots of daily rhythm, we would suggest our Little Seeds Program. If your child is accustom to a school setting, comfortable interacting with older children, and enjoys free playtime, please check out our Farm & Forest Friends Program for ages 5 ½ - 9. Campers enrolled in Farm & Forest Friends should have a developed a level of independence in self care skills such as changing clothes, tying shoes and using bathroom facilities. Feel free to contact our camp office if you have questions about which program might best serve your child.

Our summer camp offers programs for three age groups: ages 3-6, ages 5 ½-9 and ages 9-12. Our daily schedules are designed to support the developmental needs of the growing child from early childhood through early adolescence. We believe multi-age camps provide the habitat for children to grow, develop a more enriching sense of community, instill the virtue of compassion and serve the needs of all of our campers regardless of age, and skill level.
Our summer programs Little Seeds (Ages 3-6), Farm & Forest Friends (Ages 5 ½ - 9) and Sowers & Growers (Ages 9-12) operate independently within our camp facility. The age groups have different rotating activities to focus on age-appropriate skills and educational learning opportunities. Campers ages 5 ½ - 12 can intermingle during meals and free play time and will be together for special presentations and large group activities.
